How Do You Respond?

Have you realized that there are opportunities that arise every day to where we have to choose how to respond? Either with our spirit or with our flesh. You would think it wouldn’t be that hard since we proclaim to be a Child of God, right? In all honesty it shouldn’t be, but we choose to let it be. Why do you think that is? It’s a lack of self discipline.

Romans 6:11, “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

When we choose to walk in our flesh and do things our way and not Gods way its because one of two reasons. There is no fear of the Lord or no willingness to walk in that revelation.

So next time a situation arises choose wisely before you react. Ask yourself, “ Will what I’m fixing to say or how I’m fixing to react displease the Holy Spirit? If we would start doing that then our lives would be more at peace. His joy would be our strength and his love would truly guide our actions.

Remember to walk in the spirit is simple walking in love and living our life in a way that pleases the Lord.

What Do You Need?

Philippians 4:17-19, “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, have received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

We know that prosperity isn’t just about money. I know personally when I think of this verse my mind automatically goes to money or a physical need. I think this scripture can go even further then what we see with our five physical senses.

What I need the most in an encounter with the Lord. How do I get there? By spending time with him. Because when I have an encounter with him I have an inner peace in knowing that everything is going to work itself out. I will have the joy of the Lord being the strength that rises me above every situation I face. I will feel the love of God so strong to where I know I am never alone or without hope. I will have a faith so strong that looks at every adversity and circumstance and knows without a doubt it’s subject to change. I will be able to rise up with a confidence so strong to where I take my authority and I know where I stand with God and Satan has to back off.

So I ask you today what do you need? The Lord wants to rush in like a flood, and lift a standard up against whatever may be holding you back.

You are Victorious. You are more than a Conqueror. You are an Overcomer. You are the Righteousness of God. You are Forgiven. You are a Child of God.

Now I have one more question. If you where to die right now do you know 100% that you would go to heaven? If not pray this prayer and let’s make sure.

Lord, I believe you are the Son of God. I believe that you died for me and rose again. I also believe that you are seated at the right hand of God praying for me. Come into my life and be the Lord of my life. I am done running. Forgive me and use me for your glory. In Jesus name, amen.

Now if you prayed that prayer please let me know. I want to encourage you to take the next step in baptism and finding a Bible based church that you can connect with as we grow together.
