Rest and Relax

Be anxious for nothing. Trust Gods direction and his wisdom. In the midst of any situation it’s always good to rest. To take a moment, close your eyes and relax. In a place of relaxation especially in Gods presence it opens you up to trust and reliance upon him. In that place you find your peace. You also find your strength to know that everything is working out for your good. In those moments of rest it’s also good to reflect. To stop and see how far God has brought you. To stop and see the miracles that you know only he could have done. It puts a since of purpose back in you and sparks the flame of faith knowing that nothing is impossible with God. Every day you get up it has a purpose. A purpose that will ignite joy and laughter that brings forth a peace that can’t be compared to anything except the love of God. 

So stop and take a moment and reflect on Gods faithfulness. After that, rest in Him knowing that he will never fail you. He will always cause you to excel and be all that he has called you to be. Take a moment and rejoice in him asking what you want and desire and it will be done. Why? Because your finding your strength and peace in Him. 

Be the Real You

How many times do we pretend to be someone we are not?

 I know this may seem like a different type of illustration; but I was watching Moana and close to the end they where trying to return the heart so that the whole island could be restored. Molana faced many challenges and wanted to give up because it had gotten to hard. Then she was reminded of who she was. Once she gained her confidence of knowing who she was she went back and faced her challenge. The challenge was lava fire being thrown at her from different direction. She realized inside the lava,” the fire so to speak”was what needed the missing piece to become what it originally was designed to be. What it was missing was the heart of the island. Once it was returned and positive words spoken it changed the island. 

See we all face challenges and what seems to be impossibly situations. But if we will look at the situation through the eyes of faith and realize who we are called to be then we can turn the firey situation around. The key to turning any situation around is our words. Our words carry the power to change the situation. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Fill your heart with the word of God. Words that will effect you for the good. 

Remember in the midst of every challenge is always a solution. The solution is our words. 

Psalm 67:12,”You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance”

Be Alert

We are told to be on guard and to stay alert because we have an enemy who is out to destroy our lives anyway he can. A lot of times he starts with our thoughts. It’s what we do with those thoughts that show our weaknesses and strengths. We can’t stop the thoughts from coming but we can keep them from making a nest so to speak. When a thought comes in even if it is screaming what is either going on in your body or another situation how you respond to it determines everything. What you say back to it shows either the impact Gods Word has on your life or the impact the lies of the enemy has on your life. The Bible states that Satan is the father of lies. If we would really believe that then we would save ourselves from a lot of depression and anxiety. 

A lot of times I believe the reason we don’t see quick manifestation is to show ourselves how strong we really are if we will rise up and take our place as children of God. We are daily in a fight of faith. We daily have to guard ourselves. The moment we let our shield down is the moment the enemy rises up even stronger. But the thing to remember is, he has already been defeated. He can’t do anything to you and win. 

1 Peter 5:10,”And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

The Word suffer here means an emotional stress. So many times we get under an emotional stress. Because of Jesus we don’t have to live under it but we do have to take control of it. It’s there. We will face situations that will try to weigh us down emotionally. It’s in those moments that we have got to rise up and be bold. Declaring what Gods Word says regardless of what it’s trying to say back to us. As we continue to rise up in strength, with the Word of God, God promises to restore, confirm, strengthen and to establish us. 

Therefore what you are facing this to shall pass. Greater is he who is in you then he who is in the world. You are strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. You are more than a conqueror. 

We Are Blessed

Psalm 68:19,” Blessed be the Lord , Who daily loads is with benefits(blessings). The God of our salvation.”

At the end of every day do you ever stop and think about what God has done for you that day? Did he show you his protection, Did you receive a free meal that day, Was you able to get off early, Did he show you his mercy and forgiveness when you got mad at a co worker, where you not feeling well and by the end of the day you noticed you where feeling better? The little things that we seem to take for granted are those blessings he daily loads us with. 

Some more benefits are found in Psalm 103:1-5,” Bless  the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagles.”

If you will daily look for and notice his benefits, along with having a thankful heart; you will daily be loaded with blessings. His blessings will overtake you. 

Do You Feel the Heat?

I was reading the story of Shadrach, Mechach and Abednego. They loved the Lord and served him with faithfulness. They where never going to compromise  there believes and values especially because of mans believes; regardless of what they would face. They stood strong knowin God was there deliverer. 

So the story goes on they had made the King very upset so he had his men turn the furnace up seven times hotter. When I think of the number seven I think of it as finished. So to me it was as if the king was saying once and for all you guys are finished. 

So they where bound up and cast into the midst right in the middle of the burning fiery furnace. Stop and think about a fire for a moment once something is thrown right in the middle of it the fire begins to have an effect on the object. Think back for a moment. Before they where thrown in they knew God would deliever them. They didn’t fear man and there situation. They trusted in God regardless of what they where facing. So with that thought; when they where thrown into the furnace God was right there. The flames did not scorch them, it didn’t hurt them. It caused no damage what so ever to them. Why? Because they trusted God in the midst of it. Because of there faith the king saw that there God was able to deliver them. When the men walked out the king made a decree that he wouldn’t allow anyone to talk against there God. 

See a lot of times we are facing situations that seem so impossible, to where we feel the heat of it so to speak; that’s when we have to determine that God will deliver us. We can’t back down just because the heat gets turned up. How we respond to situations speak loud to those we are around. It may upset them at first because of there lack of understanding. But if you will stay true to your believes, and your values, and not allow circumstances to change you; then people will see that God is faithful. Your test is a testimony to set others free. I know it may not look like it right now but every challenge you face if you stay true to your faith you will come out untouched by the situation. Showing others that God is always true to his Word. 

Gods Protection

Have you ever stopped and thought about Gods protection? When your hiding   in the shadow of his wings, you are fully protected. You are bullet proof so to speak. No weapon formed against you can prosper. No harm or accidents can come near your dwelling place. The enemy may try and you may feel as if he has one, but he hasn’t. Nothing he does can be successful unless you step out from under Gods protection. You may think or even say,” If that’s true then why did _______ happen? A lot of times when we see the weapons form instead of standing and fighting we put our shield down. We loose hope. When in all reality, we have to realize we have the victory even when it doesn’t look like it. It’s in those moments when the weapons are forming we see what we are made of. Are we going to stay under Gods protection and fight the good fight of faith or are we going to step out from under it and fight in our own strength? When we try to fight in our own strength we can’t last long and the enemy knows it. It’s in those moments that when the weapons are forming that we have to remind our soul what it’s going to do. Which is,”Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all his benefits….” Along with reminding our selfs that we dwell in the secret place of the Most High God, and that in him we find our strength to fight the good fight of faith. 

His protection gives us our peace, stability, strength, favor, grace, mercy. It covers our finances and our bodies. Anything we have access to. Because greater is he who is in us then he who is in the Word. 

Stay under the umbrella or in the bubble of his protection today. Fighting the good fight of faith.Declaring that you are coming out on top. Not only you but your children also. 

Suddenly

Word of the day. 

SUDDENLY: Immediately, Instantaneously, Instantly, Straightaway, Promptly, Abruptly, Swiftly, Unexpectedly, Quickly

This is the Word that was coming up in my spirit while I was praying. 

Then I started thinking about a mighty rushing wind. Especially when it comes out of no where. How it takes you by surprise. God is ready to take us by surprise. He’s ready to do more than what we ask for. He’s ready to move swiftly. 

A lot of times when God is ready to move all you hear is,”Be still and know that I am God.”

Do you ever want to know what to do?Here it is…

 To be still. To be at peace. Knowing God is working it all out for your good. Walk in love and in mercy. Be cautious because the enemy is lurking around seeking someone to devour. Keep your shield up. Be alert. Be active. 

Expect Instantaneously!!!!

Weapons May Form

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. As a child of God there’s a wall of protection that surrounds you and nothing can get through it. The only way for the weapons to prosper is if you step outside of that protection. Fear has no place. Depression and anxiety have no place. If they have found there way in, do a self check up. Where have you put your shield? Pick it up, dust yourself off and repent. You’ve already been forgiven. His grace is sufficient for you. His mercies endure forever. Nothing can ever separate you from his love. Know who you are. Find your courage, your confidence to be all your called to be. 

I bind up the spirit of fear in the Name of Jesus. I loose the peace of God to guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. You are valuable and worthy. His joy is your strength. In Jesus Name, Amen. 

Be confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it. 

Philippians 1:6,” And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, hat He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.”

Hold your head up in the confidence of knowing no weapon formed against you can prosper. 

Listen

 God is ready to speak. He is ready to give you instructions to what your asking him to do. A lot of times when you ask God to move, he gives you a direction. Something for you to do, in order for him to manifest his favor in that area. When your obedient, believe that you have already received what your asking for. Use your imagination and see it. That’s when you know you have obtained it on the inside. God is already moving on your behalf once you have stepped out and have done what he has asked you to do. Sometimes what he ask, may seem so profound or odd, and you may think that can’t work. But it can. It can be the one think that unlocks that request. No matter how far out there it may sound,  do it. In doing it you will not be disappointed. God will never direct you to do something that did not have the intentions of producing the request. 

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

It’s not about what you can see naturally first. It’s about what you can see first on the inside. Step out in obedience. God will not disappoint you. 

Get Ready for Change

Change is in the atmosphere.

 The definition for change is to make radically different. To give a different position, course or direction. To make a shift and to undergo transformation. 

Be ready. Be confident. Be courageous. You are the Child of the Most High God. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Change may not always be the easiest but the outcome is amazing. You can look back and see how far you came. You can reflect on the goodness and the favor God. Change is a chance for God to manifest Himself in your life. It transforms you. It pushes you forward. 

Jeremiah 29:11,”I know the thoughts that  I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts to peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Expect it. It’s brewing! See the change your wanting and wait for it. It will not tarry. 

Habakkuk 2:3,” For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
